Awana stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed," based on 2 Timothy 2:15.  This ministry's goal is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.  Our Awana clubs offer games, Bible lessons, song times, and verse memorization to children age 3 through high school.  Our clubs meet Wednesdays evenings at BFC all through the school year.

What is the A.L.T.?

It stands for the Awana Leadership Team and this team leads our entire Awana children's ministry.  It consists of the club's directors, the commander, and other leaders.

AWANA Clubs:

Reaching and training preschoolers for Jesus Christ.  Games, puppets, and crafts transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

This is a club for K-2nd grade.  The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God's word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ.  After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as Savior while in sparks.

The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach 3rd-6th grade boys and girls the truth of God's word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives.  Our goal is tha tmany of today's young people will become tomorrow's church leaders.  T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow-today.  Our nights if filled with dynamic teaching, Bible-centereed curriculum, and scripture memorization.
